Mid-Century Modern

The Collector’s Room // Charlotte, NC

I had been playing around with this idea  / design for a long time, but I wanted to get it right. The warm tones, over-the-top floral installations and graphic elements were the hallmarks of the shoot and I couldn’t imagine anyone but Rebecca Stone to capture it all.  From the beginning we wanted to feature and LGBTQIA+ couple and when Rebecca suggested Hayli and Laura, I instantly fell in love.  Their connection is so special, their love for one another is palpable and I couldn’t think of any two people better suited for this shoot.  From there, I added more amazing vendors to the team allowing them to play to their strengths and use this shoot as a creative playground.  From the custom designed jewelry from The Antiquarian (P.S. Hayli loved their ring so much that Laura bought it for them on the spot!) and a custom, seasonal menu based on the color palette from Roots Catering to the beautiful mid-century furniture and tabletop items from A Bushel and A Peck Vintage Rentals and Vintage Chic Rentals, each participant was able to showcase their unique style all while maintaining not only an inclusive environment, but safe social distance.
